What its used for
 The sys stim machine is used for
symptomatic relief of chronic pain.
 Acute post traumatic pain
 Acute post surgical pain
 Muscle re-education

Machine
 Apply to specific muscle group
 Electrical stim is a form of electrical therapy used to
promote tissue healing and the reduction of pain.
 It may also be used to rehabilitate soft tissue.
 Electrical stim is great for: the relaxation of muscle spasms







increasing range of motion
Reduction
prevention of muscle atrophy
re-education of muscles
increasing local blood circulation
relief from minor pain (joint pains, muscle aches, etc)
stress









The patient is pregnant
The patient has a cardiac demand pacemaker
Do not put electrodes across the chest laterally
Do not place electrodes on the front of the neck
because it may close patients air way
Do not use on Deep vein thrombosis
Do not use over swollen, infected or inflamed areas
or skin with eruptions
Do not place over fractured bones
Do not apply immediately following trauma or tissue
susceptible to hemorrhage. (Wait 48-72 hours post
injury before used)
