The Finger Board also known as the Fret Board,
it can only be found on a fretted instruments like
guitars. The Finger Board is part of the neck, it’s
the white lines going across the neck of the
guitar.
The Finger Board is usually made out of wood and
the strings run above it.
A Whammy Bar or Tremolo arm is used to add
vibrations to the music by changing the pitch in
the strings.
The musicians usually use this during the bridge
and the tail piece.
A musician plays chords by pressing down the
strings, this is called ‘stopping the strings.’
When the musician presses down on the strings
and strums, it sends a vibration to the sound hole
creating the sounds.
Most musicians use three or four chords and
come out as the top 10.
A tuning machine is used to hold a string on the
guitar. If you turn it, it will tighten or loosen
depending on witch way you pull it creating the
high and low pitches making the music.
A tuning machine can be made out of metal,
ebony, boxwood or other material to make it
look better.
The electric guitar was made in 1931
but the guitars were introduced by
the Spanish. Spanish people made
their guitars out of wood and the
strings were made out of guts.
