Collins Writing…
This year we will not just complete math
problems. We will be working on writing
skills as well. We will use something called
Collins Writing.
On the back of your paper, place an X on
the first line. Continue placing X’s on every
other line until you get to the bottom of the
page.
Your paper should look like this…
You will ONLY WRITE ON THE LINES
WITH X’s. This will make it easier to write
as well as read.
• I will give you a specific amount of time
and number of lines. The only rule is that
you have to write for the full amount of
time and write AT LEAST the number of
lines I give you.

Food/Drinks
• I don’t mind if you bring food/drinks as
long as they meet the following criteria:
– Does not smell (good or bad) because it will
make everyone hungry/want to throw up.
– All drinks must have lids.
Create a mess in my room and I will ban food.
Electronics
• No phones (that includes using it as a
calculator)
• No Ipod/mp3 players
Violations will be handled as laid out in
the student handbook (or I’ll just take
them and keep them)
