Partnerships
• Studies are conducted with a variety of governmental, non-governmental,
academic, and foreign and US agencies.
• Established through relationships, proximity and interest in similar
research areas.
• Major program sponsors: Military Infectious Diseases Research Program
(MIDRP) & Armed Forces Health Surveillance Center – Global Emerging
Infections Surveillance and Response System (AFHSC - GEIS).
• Partnership agreements include:
– MOU’s/MOA’s established with government agencies.
– Interagency Agreements with CDC & DoS.
– Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA) with industry & academic
partners.
• Studies are conducted in a host country only upon the country’s approval;
study protocols are approved through the host nation’s collaborators.
