Research
One study of I CAN Learn® Pre-Algebra and Algebra
met the What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) evidence
standards and five more studies met WWC evidence
standards with reservations. The six studies, which
included more than 16,600 eighth- and ninth-grade
students in middle and high schools in California,
Florida, Georgia, and Louisiana, compared the
standardized math performance of students who used
the I CAN Learn® system with that of students who used
traditional curricula. 1

CLASSROOM EXPLORER
• The I CAN Learn® Classroom Explorer is a tool
for teachers that interfaces and supports all
features of the I CAN Learn® courseware. It
keeps record of student attendance,
homework, and tests grades so that teachers
can chart student progress. It frees teachers
from administrative headaches and allows
them to focus on teaching.
CLASSROOM EXPLORER FEATURES
• The Classroom Explorer allows the teacher to quickly
retrieve accurate data on each student
• The Gradebook calculates and keeps track of students'
daily grades and semester averages in real-time
• The Reports tool, which teachers can use to generate
instant progress reports that map out a student's work
over a period of time
• Teachers can give instant, detailed feedback to
students and parents and can also better assess each
student's needs and adjust difficulty levels to meet the
needs of a diverse range of students.
