Squaring Numbers
What I did was squaring numbers.
Example: 4 x 4 = 16. Squaring numbers
are like that number multiplied by that
same number. That is what I was doing.
Taking cubes and squaring them.
12 = 1
22 = 4
32 = 9
42 = 16
52 = 25
62 = 36
72 = 49
82 = 64
92 = 81
102 = 100
112 = 121
122 = 144

Squaring Numbers
• How to square numbers is really easy.
What you do is take a number like 5 and
then multiply it by five. And you get 25
then is you want to square 5 by three you
have to multiply 5 to 25 and you get 125.

Riders of the Jungles Cat
• What you do in this thing is you try to
make the rider ride on the cat. But the
problem is, is that you can’t overlap the
legs of the jungle cat.

This is the answer.
Rounding to the Nearest Ten
What I’m doing is making a mountain of
numbers. Like 1 ,2 ,3, 4, 5, 6, 7 ,8 ,9 ,and
10.Then I made the numbers go down, like
5, 6 ,7 ,8, and 9 go down to 10. And 2 ,3
,and 4 go down to 1.

My Six Times
What I did was multiply 6 to a number.
Like 6 x 5= 30. I did all the time tables
with 6es. That’s what you will see. Have
fun!6 x fun = awesome 6’es!
6x1=6
This is 6 x 2 = 12
6 x 3 = 18
6 x 4 = 24
6 x 5 = 30
6 x 6 = 36
6 x 7 = 42
6 x 8 = 48
6 x 9 = 54
6 x 10 = 60
6 x 11 = 66
6 x 12 = 72
What is the Number in the Middle?
I put three numbers but then I hid the

Diameter
What I’m showing is the diameter and
the circumference. A circumference is
measuring around the circle and a
diameter a line that goes across the circle
in the middle. You will see the ball go
around like a circumference, and then you
will see a line of diameter.

Area
The area of a shape is the space inside
a shape. An area is a shape with squares
that are in a rectangle or square and how
many squares are on one side and then
you x the numbers of squares are on
another side.
This is a perimeter, around it.
The perimeter is 14.
The perimeter is 24.
Volume
• First what you do is look at the cube and
see what the length, width, and height is.
Then you multiply all of those numbers
together. That is how you do volume.
Let me test your skills in math.

This is how it looks when you start.
This is how you do it.
What you do is to look
at the little picture
and see how much
they equal to.
You look at the numbers on the
bottom and the side of the
green box.
Let’s start with the easiest row like
this one.
3+3+3= 9 so all of the pens
should equal 3.
All the pens should
equal 3.
The apples are 7 because on the
bottom row 3+7+7=17.
And when you look at the top row 3 +
6+6=15 so the present should be 6.
And when you look at the rows that
go down they all equal to the
number at the bottom.
Then you should click check it and
see if it is right.
And then you
will see right
here if you
were right.

• What I did was make a pie graph of how
many skittles I have. And then I colored
them by there colors then I paste it into
Power Point. Then I looked what the
mode is.
The mode is five.

Strawberry, 5,

The mode is five
because there are
more 5’s then

• What I did was count all my skittles and
then made it into a bar graph by using
Chart Wizard, Bar Graph and then I click
the first bar one time then I clicked one bar
and then left click then I colored it. Then I
looked what the mode was.
My mode is five.

The
Percentage
• A Percentage is any number like 52 and the
slash in the % sign equals 1 and the two 0 equal
0 so if you put that together it would be 52 over
100. So if something says 32% that means 32
over 100. So this % sign equal 100. When ever
you see something like 52% that would mean 52
over 100. The slash on the % sign equals 1 and
the two 0s in the % sign equals 00 so if you put
that together the number would be 100. Say if a
book is 25% off what would that mean? It would
mean 25 over 100.
25% =

Prime and Composite Numbers
• Prime means a number like two can be
divided into only two ways.
• And composite numbers means a number
can divide into three or more numbers.
• So all even numbers are composite except
for two. And all odd numbers are prime
(some).
3 /prime
because
3x1=3 and
1x3=3
6/composite
because
1x6=6,
6x1=6,and

2x2=4 ,1x4=4 and
4x1=4

because
7x1=7 and
1x7=7

5x1=5 and
1x5=5

How Many Blocks Are There?
• On the next slide you will have to count
how many blocks there are. The big blocks
are thousands and the flat square are the
100s and the long rectangle ones are the
tens and the miniature squares are the
ones. So count all the blocks. Then on the
next slide you will see the answer.
How Many Blocks are there?
The answer is
2,226.
Mixed Numbers
This is how mixed numbers work. So what
you see is whole fractions which are called
“Whole Numbers”. And if there are 3 whole
fractions you write a big 3 (no fractions).
And then there is going to be a fraction so
you do the fraction, and put the answer
beside the big whole 3. The next slide will
show you how it will look like and how you
can figure it out. Have fun!!
That equals to:
3 1
4
Because there are three
whole numbers and
then there is a fraction
and the top number is
the shaded part so it
equals to 1/4
Real Algebra
• In the next slide show I’ll show you how to
figure out the next problem.
• So we are going to start with the number 4
and then the sum is 20.So what you have
to do is find out what c = to. Find the
number.
• First I’m going to start with this problem so
our letter Variable is c. So c x 4=20.
• So then you add the x to the 4 and then
you get 5 x’s
• Then you see how many 5’s can go into
twenty and you get 4 so x =4
• So 4x4=16 and then plus 4 more = 20.
• Now we got the answer
Combining Like Terms
• Combining terms is like adding say like
12y + 3y = to 15y so it is like regular
adding. But you just say like 12 apples = 3
apples and that equals 15 apples.
Combining Like Terms
3y + 6y = 9y
7y + 8y = 15y
9y – 6y = 3y
15y – 8y = 7y
6y + 3y =9y
8y + 7y =15y
9y – 3y = 6y
15y – 7y =8y

How to Multiply By 10, 100, and
1,000?
What you do is think
about what is 5x1=5
then you add the
two 0’s to the five
and that’s your
answer
5 x 100 = 5 add the
00’s to 5 = 500
You could do the same thing with
1,000 and ten just add the 00’s to
the number that you are multiplying
with the 3 digit or 4 digit.
5 x 1,000 =5,000
Now, we are going to multiply 2
digits by 2 digits.
You do the
50

First we will
start out by
doing this
take out the
0’s and do

Then you

Average
• Average is a really easy thing to do. Say
we have the numbers 10, 9, and 8, so
what you do is add those numbers up and
you get 27 then you count how many
numbers are you added up and divide that
number with the 27 and you get 9 because
there are 3 numbers. So 27 divided by 3
equals 9.
