Aim: How can you Log in to your student accounts?
Log In Screen
Log In Name: Your First Name and
the first initial of your last name.
Ex: JeremyD
Password: Last 4 numbers of your
student I.D. number
Picking up Files from
The Server
1. You must be logged into your student
account.
2. Locate the Network
3. Locate the DOE server
4. Find the public folder with my last name
‘Spaterella’
5. Click on the folder and look for file
Saving your Files from
The Server
1. You must be logged into your student
account.
2. Locate the Network
3. Locate the DOE server
4. Find the folder with my last name
‘Spaterella’
5. Save your file to my ‘Dropbox’
Lasso Tool
The lasso tool allows you to create a freehand
selection.
Shortcut: L
Polygonal Lasso Tool
The polygonal lasso tool creates
straight line selections.
Shortcut: L
Magnetic Lasso Tool
The magnetic lasso tool creates
selections that snap to the edge of an object.
Shortcut: L
Options Bar
Allows you to adjust settings for the currently
active tool.
It is context sensitive - the option bar changes
according to which tool you have selected.

Class Exercise
1. Log in and open Photoshop
2. Open Fruit File in ‘Spaterella Folder’
3. Add 3 new layers
4. Click on original layer and use the lasso selection
tools to crop out different pieces of fruit.
5. Move cropped fruit to the new layers
