Skip Counting (by 3's)
Skip counting is counting while skipping one or more numbers. To skip
count by 3's, skip two numbers while counting. (3...6...9...) Many refer to this

Double-double the number you are multiplying four by. (Double it twice)

Another way to figure the answer is double the answer you would get if you
multiplied the number by 2.

Step 1:
Put your hands on the
table in front of you.
Step 2:
Your fingers represent

- Each finger to the left of the curled finger represents 10.
- Say 10, 20, 30, 40, 50
- Each finger to the right of the curled finger represents one.
- Count 1, 2, 3, 4. (Or 51, 52, 53, 54)
- 6 x 9 = 54
