Strike Teams of Engines
Five Engines of the same ICS Type, staffed
appropriately
Strike Team Leader with vehicle
If the Strike Team is ordered for double shifts, the
contractor will provide a Strike Team Leader –
Engines for each shift.
Only Contractors who have been awarded an
Agreement will be authorized to provide a Strike
Team.
Strike Team Leader(s) Engines and all crew member
must be employees of the contractor providing the
Strike Team.
The Strike Team Leader can only supervise the
employees in their strike team. They cannot
supervise agency employees or other contractors’
employees. And the Strike Team Leader cannot sign
Daily Shift Ticket as Supervisor.
Strike Team has to be dispatched as a team,
mobilized as a team, utilized as a team and
demobilized as a team.
Resources cannot be separated or broken apart.
If a piece of equipment breaks down, the
Incident can choose to continue working the
rest of the Strike Team.
The engine cannot be replaced by an engine
that is not on the Agreement. The rate would
be reduced by the respective charge for that
individual piece of equipment
Strike Teams of Crews
Two crews offered by one Contractor with
same dispatch location
41 properly trained employees
Strike Team Leader for Crews with 4x4 vehicle
Two crew bosses
Six squad bosses
32 crew members
Strike Team Leader for Crew trainee can work
with STLC, with no agency compensation
Crews must arrive at the incident at the same
time
Cost – combination of cost of the two crews
plus STLC
Subsistence
When fire camp is not available and
commuting is not feasible:

Conus – $40 per person for lodging, plus $25 for
food / drink
Crews
$50 per person for lodging, plus $39 for food /
drink
