NUMBERS ON A NUMBER LINE
Identify = point out
Represent = stand for
Negative number=any number less
than zero.
Number line= line in which indicate the
sequence of numbers
NUMBER LINE!
Number lines are used for many things!
A few of the uses of number lines are to:
Add
Subtract
5+3=8

NEGATIVE
NUMBERS
All numbers less than zero. These numbers will
ALWAYS have a negative sign.
Some examples are:
-7, -8, -8, -9, -19, -1,000,000
etc.
Non-examples are:
+1, +3, 1,000,023
NUMBER LINE
a number line is a picture of a straight line on
which every point corresponds to a real number and
every real number to a point.
