PROBLEM SOLVING
 Everyday Math
teaches students to
develop strategies for
modeling and
managing problems
while understanding
their use in and out of
the classroom.
MATH GOALS
 BEGINNING GOALS (B) Students may not be
able to complete work independently. They
show little understanding of the concept or skill.
 DEVELOPING GOALS (D) Students show
some understanding. However, errors or
misunderstandings still occur.
 SECURE GOALS (S) Students can apply the
skill or concept correctly and independently.
MATH GAMES

important part of the

curriculum. They are
used in teaching and
reinforcing concepts

Goal (D/S): Read and write numbers to hundredmillions

Player 1 rolls the dice and writes the digit on any
one of his or her spaces. Player 2 rolls the dice
and does the same thing. Players keep taking
turns until all the spaces are full.

 The first 3 spaces are the first 3 digits of your
number. The last digit is how many zeroes are
added to your number.
 Remember to read your number when you are
finished!
 The player with the highest number and READS it
correctly earns a point.
 The player with the most points wins the game.
