El Futuro
EL FUTURO…
We have already learned one way to talk
about the future.

You can use Ir + a + infinitive

Vamos a estudiar en la biblioteca.
– We’ll study (we are going to study) in the library.

Mañana, voy a escalar montañas.
– Tomorrow, I will climb (I am going to climb) mountains.

. Vamos a navegar por internet.
– We’ll surf (We are going to surf) the internet.
Today we are going to learn how to form the future
tense. You form the future tense by adding a
special set of endings to the infinitive

You add these endings to the infinitive of any
verb.

Note that all of the
future endings have a written accent
except the nosotros/as form.

The dreadful irregulars! With some verbs, you have to
change the form of their infinitive slightly before adding the
future tense endings. Here are the irregulars.

 The
future may also be used in the
main clause of sentences in which
the present subjunctive follows a
conjunction of time such as cuando,
después (de) que, en cuanto,
