Make 3 groups out of the entire class.
Each group gets 1 set of “Royal Pronoun”
cards and a 4-5 “Madrid Place” cards. Leave
all cards in a community pile in the middle of
the entire group.
Within your group, split into partners.
(Student A and Student B)
Student A will pull and use a “Royal Pronoun”
card from the community pile to construct a
question verbally about where someone will
go in Madrid. Student B will pull and use a
“Madrid Place” card to respond to the
question appropriately. Return both cards to
the pile and choose again. After 5 questions
and answers, students will then switch roles
and repeat the activity.
Example
Student A pulls the “Ustedes” card.
Student B pulls the “Palacio Real”
card.
Student A says “¿Adónde van
ustedes?
Student B responds: “Vamos al Palacio
Real”.
