Knowing RE verb conjugation
RE Verbs
RE verbs, verbs that end in RE, are
another group of “regular” verbs in French
 Like regular “ER” verbs, all regular “RE”
verbs will follow the conjugation rules for
their group.

RE VERB CONJUGATION
To conjugate an RE verb, take off the RE
to get the stem
 Then add the ending that agrees with the
subject.

 Il/elle/on – (nothing)

Prendre is an RE verb that has a spelling
change in the plural forms of nous, vous
and ils/elles
 Prendre = to take


All verbs that have prendre in them follow
that conjugation pattern
 Apprendre
