Possessive Nouns
 Add an apostrophe s (‘s) to a singular noun to show
possession
 Ex. The girl’s dress was pretty.
 If the noun is plural, add an apostrophe after the s (s’)
 Ex. The three girls’ dresses were yellow.
 If the plural noun does not end in s add an
apostrophe s (‘s)
 The children’s shirts were red.

 ex. Leaving the press
conference, the politician
felt confident about her
answers.
