The girls went on a picnic last week.
Conan made a revelation. All the
students lied.

Sarah did not celebrate her birthday.
To express a negative event in the past
we use did, not and verb in base form.
So Conan had to do some more
investigation to discover the truth. He
asked the student’s mother.
Did Adam plant some flowers?
Did Sam hike in the woods?
Did Sarah celebrate her birthday?
