Verbs of the senses: Hear, look, notice,

Can be used in present continuous but the
meaning is not the same as in Present Simple
“She’s having lunch/ a drink/ a shower / a party”

Complete actions or events in the past.

We normally say WHEN the action happened:
Yesterday, last month, ago...

Actions that are still in progress

With actions verbs to say how long an action
or event has been in progress (since, for, how
long....)
