Sister School Idea Share
What is an Idea Share?
An idea share is communication between
your council and your sister school in a
way that can benefit their council.
 It is not just sending them a fun little gift.

Why is it important?

Making sure you have a sister school idea
share is important because without it you
will not be able to receive the Blue or
Silver Star awards.
◦ Silver Star: Must have 2 contacts.
 First: July 1- Nov. 30 Second: Dec. 1- March 1
◦ Blue Star: 1 contact between July 1- March 1.
Idea Share Examples
A letter talking about what your council
has done recently.
 Inviting your sister school to one of your
events.
 Giving your sister school advice.

◦ Remember just a gift is not an idea share but
you can always add one with your idea share.
◦ Thank you notes are appreciated.
