What is an –ER Verb ?
An –ER verb is a ‘doing word’ that
ends in –ER.
Eg:
acheter
aimer
écouter
habiter
to buy

to listen
to live
How do you form the present
tense of –ER verbs?
It is very easy!
All you need to do is remember 5
easy steps...
STEP 1
Choose your –ER verb and write it
down:
DANSER
(to dance)
STEP 2
Take off the –ER ending.
You are left with THE STEM.
‘DANS’
(this is your stem)
STEP 3
Write the 9 subjects of your verb:
