Healthy Ideas
Regular Exercise – any physical activity is beneficial.
Good Food Choices – Avoid sugar & increase healthy fats.
Stress Reduction – find effective ways to reduce stress.
Drink clean pure Water – fundamentally important.
Maintain a Healthy Gut (via probiotics). ~80 percent of immune
system resides in your gut.
Optimize Vitamin D levels – sun exposure is key. (*oxybenzone)
Avoid Toxins, Chemicals and Pollutants – protect yourself.
Get plenty of high-quality Sleep – let your body heal itself.

The Many Health Risks of Low Vitamin D
Increased Cancer risk. Low vitamin D strongly associated with virtually all cancers.
Increase risk of Heart Attack
by 50% if you are vitamin D deficient.
Autoimmune Diseases. Vitamin D is a potent immune modulator, important for the prevention multiple
sclerosis (MS) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
Lung Disease. If deficient, Vit. D supplementation may reduce chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
(COPD) symptoms by 40%. Also protects against some of adverse effects of smoking.
Fights Infections. Vitamin D fights infections, colds and the flu, by regulating expression of genes for
immune system defense against bacteria & viruses.
DNA Repair and Metabolic Processes. Taking 2,000 IUs of vit. D/day (60 days) up-regulated
291 different genes controlling ~80 metabolic processes, including DNA repair. Beneficial effects on
autoxidation (oxidation in presence of O2 and UV radiation, which impacts aging and cancer); and boosting the
immune system.
Brain Health, (depression, dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease). Vitamin D receptors
appear in a wide variety of brain tissue; activated vit. D receptors increase nerve growth in your brain. Vitamin
D crucial for optimal brain function, mental health, and prevention of degenerative brain disorders
(Alzheimer’s). Seniors with low vit. D levels may double risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s. Optimal Vit. D may
exert some of its benefits on your brain through its anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting properties. Vit. D
may enhance chemicals that effectively stimulate glial cells that nurse damaged neurons back to health.

Whole Foods
• Unrefined, entire original “item”.
• All original nutrients remain intact.
• Unprocessed, not chemically treated.
e.g.: - organic vegetables and fruit
- whole brown rice, quinoa
- raw nuts and seeds
Refined Foods
• Heavily processed from original form.
• Most (if not all) original nutrients removed.
Who invented pop tarts and why?
• Often chemically treated (in processing and
for shelf-life).
e.g.: - white sugar ()
- white flour
- heavily preserved (packaged) items

Heart Surgeon Speaks out on what Really Causes Heart Disease
Dr. Dwight Lundell: Prevent Disease - Thu, 01 Mar 2012
From article:
Recent discoveries that chronic inflammation of
arterial walls is the real cause of heart disease is
slowly leading to a paradigm shift.
The long-established severely restricted fat intake has
created epidemics of obesity and diabetes.
Despite 25% of population on statin drugs, despite
having reduced the fat content of our diets, more
Americans will die this year of heart disease than
ever before.
AHA shows that 75 million Americans suffer from
heart disease; 20 million have diabetes and 57 million
have pre-diabetes.
Fat have
been replaced
by Sugar!
Diabetes Mellitus Facts - In the U.S. in 2010
~ 215,000 aged 20 & under had diabetes - type 1 or 2.
~ 1.9 million aged 20 & over newly diagnosed with diabetes.
~ 10.9 million aged 65 & over had diabetes.
Diabetics
(%) in 2010
New cases
of Diabetes
About 35% over age of 20 and 50% of adults 65 or over had prediabetes.
Estimated 79 million Americans over 20 have pre-diabetes.

Subconscious
Mind
Can you see
what I see?
Hypnotized people can read reversed, mirrored and upside-down text at a
normal rate. That is, the subconscious mind decodes any text, no matter
how it's written. Recognition of images are even more powerful!
Your subconscious mind is very flexible
and can see everything!

Understanding (non-contradictory identification).

Salvestrols
Synthesized by plants, they belong to a group of
phytochemicals called phytoalexins. Plants
produce this in response to attack by pathogenic
organisms such as fungi, viruses and bacteria.
Resveratrol first of the salvestrols discovered.
Highest amounts found in Green Vegetables
and Red Fruits, also higher in bitter foods!

Unsaturated Oils vs. Saturated Fats
Polyunsaturated Fats – e.g., canola, soybean,
safflower, corn - easily become rancid when
exposed to oxygen and produce free radicals in
the body.  Just Say No!
*Olive oil – Still good; best if not heated!

Virgin Coconut Oil - a saturated fat with medium
chain Fatty Acids (MCFA) - extremely heat stable and
very beneficial for human physiology. Saint-Onge and Jones (2003)
* Coconut Oil does not elevate cholesterol or cause heart disease.
* Reduces weight gain – elevates thyroid function.
* 50% Lauric Acid – same lipid in breast milk. Protective properties.
