This Week’s Focus
Literacy Inquiry:
This week we will learn all about the
letter Hh. Students will learn to name,
recognize, and trace the letter Hh. We
will continue to practice letters Ss, Aa, Tt,
Pp, Ii, Nn, Mm, Dd, Gg, Oo, Cc, Kk, Ee, Uu,
and Rr.
Math Inquiry:
This week is International Week
• Cultural Dress Day Tuesday,
January 17th
• Wednesday, January 18th is
International Day
• Thursday, January 19th is Early
Dismissal (at 12:00pm)

We will learn to count from 0 to 30.
Students will continue to learn about the
shape cone and what makes a cone
different from a triangle.
Unit of Inquiry:
In Sharing the Planet, we have learned
about animals and now we will continue
to learn about insects. Students will learn
about different insects and be able to
name the body parts of an insect.
Home Connection
Please read with your child for at least 10 minutes daily. Also, ask them to
find all the colors we have learned, to count from 0 to 30, and find things
that start with the letter Hh around your house or out in the community.
