What is an infinitive?
Definition:
An infinitive is the name of certain verb
forms that exist in many languages.
In the usual description of English, the
infinitive of a verb is its basic form with or
without the particle ( to ): therefore, do
and to do, be and to be and so on are
infinitives.

HOW TO USE BARE INFINITIVE
1) Bare infinitive is used as the main
verb after the dummy auxiliary verb do,or
most modal auxiliary verbs ( will, can..).
2) Bare infinitive is used after several
verbs of perception ( see, watch, hear
and sense take a direct object and a
bare infinitive, where the bare infinitive
indicates an action taken by the main
verb’s direct object.

a verb
