Modal Auxiliaries are helping verbs that convey the following conditions:
necessity, possibility, requests, suggestions, intentions, or attitudes. They
give more information about the verb.
Example
I must do homework when I get home. (It is strongly suggested.)
I may do homework when I get home. (It is possible)
I might do homework when I get home. (It is a weaker possibility.)
I can do homework when I get home. (I am capable.)
I will do homework when I get home. (It is my intention, or promise.)
I should do homework when I get home. (It is my opinion or it has been suggested.)
