1. Know how to form the present tense!
You will need to know the “ILS” form to make the
subjunctive and the “NOUS” form to make the
imperfect and the semi-weird subjunctives!
2. Know how to form the past tense (helping verb plus
past participle!)
3. Know how to form the imperfect tense (Nous form of
present, minus the “ons”, add the endings: ais, ais,
ait, ions, iez, aient.
4. Know how to make the subjunctive (Regs-”Ils” form
of present minus “ent”, add endings: e, es, e, ions,
iez, ent.) (Semi-irregs- list is in your book- use “Ils”
form for Je, Tu, Il, Ils, but the “Nous” form minus
“ons” plus subjuctive endings for VOUS and NOUS)
(Irregs-list in your book-4 PLUS the ones I have on this
list---look them up just to be sure…but most are
recognitions---choose correct letter)
