Future “ be going to “
Hello, I am Susana your e-mate.
I am 24 years old, I feel really happy because we are
going to work through the Web. Moreover, I guess We
are going to practice some exercises about grammar
rules and expressions!
See you soon! We are going to learn more about the
English language.
USE
• It is used to talk about future plans or intentions. Moreover, it
is used to talk about predictions based on evidence in the
present.
Example:
 I am going to travel to France the next weekend.
 You are going to eat out with your family the next week.
 He is going to work late tonight.
 She is going to start an English course.
 They are going to organize a family reunion.
 There are dark clouds in the sky, It’s going to rain.

We form the NEGATIVE form by adding the word NOT.

Are you going to travel by bus to USA?
Are they going to play video games tomorrow ?
This kind of question we can answer with a simple YES or NO.
NOTE: Utilizamos “going to”( voy a ) para hablar de posibles planes a futuro o predicciones
que se realicen en el futuro; ya sea de manera afirmativa, negativa o interrogativa. Solamente
vamos a omitir el verbo cuando utilicemos “Go” Ejemplo: I am going to go to the disco = I am
going to the disco.
Future “ Going to” with WH- QUESTIONS
We can use WH- Questions to make questions in order to get more information
from the other person. We can use: WHAT (que), WHERE (donde), WHEN
(cuando), WHO (quien), HOW (como), WHICH (cual), and WHY(porque).

Expressions using in the Future:
Tomorrow The next Friday, Saturday, Sunday, e.t.c
The next year, month, season, etc.
This summer, winter, etc.
After graduation, dinner, etc.
In two years, three years, etc.
Note: Utilizamos las WH- questions para adquirir mas información del hablante.
Asi mismo utilizamos expresiones de tiempo que nos ayudan a referirnos al tiempo futuro
como por ejemplo: Tomorrow ( mañana), the next Friday ( el proximo viernes), etc.
