His father Cronus ate his brothers and sisters.
He was born in a cave on Mount Ida on the island of Crete.

His symbol was a thunderbolt.
He had 2 more symbols which were the oak tree and an eagle.
He was the god of the sky.
His weakness was getting in trouble over love affairs.

His brothers were gods.
Zeus’s brothers and sisters were Poseidon, Hades, Hestia, Demeter,
and Hera.
His Roman name was Jupiter.

His brother, Hades, was the Greek god of the underworld.
His other brother, Poseidon, was the Greek god of the sea.

He often fought with his wife Hera.
Zeus was alone when he gave birth to Athena. She was born from
the top of his head!
