 He was the Greek king of the gods of Mount Olympus.
 His father Cronus ate his brothers and sisters.
 He was born in a cave on Mount Ida on the island of Crete.

 His symbol was a thunderbolt.
 He had 2 more symbols which were the oak tree and an eagle.
 He was the god of the sky.
 His weakness was getting in trouble over love affairs.

 His brothers were gods.
 Zeus’s brothers and sisters were Poseidon, Hades, Hestia, Demeter,
and Hera.
 His Roman name was Jupiter.

 His brother, Hades, was the Greek god of the underworld.
 His other brother, Poseidon, was the Greek god of the sea.

 He often fought with his wife Hera.
 Zeus was alone when he gave birth to Athena. She was born from
the top of his head!
 His mother’s name was Rhea.
