Frag and Defrag
• Defrag often
• If a system fails to defrag, use the scan disk
utility to fix faulty file allocation
• If defrag fails to complete in a reasonable
time, there may be a memory-resident
program running. Use the Close Program
window to close all programs but Explorer,
then rerun Defrag
