Stars The sun is a star. Some stars are called red giants. Stars are made of gas. •Stars come in many sizes. Alpha centuri is not a star but really a star systeam. Alpha Centuri Sirius You can see the Sirius star a mile away. The Sirius star is the brightest in the sky. The Sirius star is part of the Dog constellation , Canis Major Orion’s Belt The tree stars in the belt have names. There are books of Orion's Belt. The Orion's Belt is next to the Milky way. Big Dipper Seen as a drinking gourd in the 900’s The Big dipper has seven stars. Spiral Galaxy A spiral galaxy is the most common galaxy. Astronomers do not understand how Galaxy forms Meteorites Meteorites have a hard outer covering. Meteorites have been found a lot on earth. Meteorites are in space. Sun The sun is 432,000 miles across. The energy from the sun is f Venus It is a similar size to earth It is the brightest planet. Named in honor of god. Milky Way The Milky Way has 400 billion stars. The middle of the milky way is the nuclear budge. The Milky Way is also made of gas and dust . Mars •Mars is 4.6 billion years old. •The distance from Mars to the Sun is 141,620,000 miles. •The core of Mars is solid. •The sky of Mars looks if it’s pink because the clouds are red. Mercury Mercury is the smallest planet 1 planet next to sun Earth A lot of people live in Earth Earth is a home of many species Earth has beautiful seas and waters Earth is a home for you and me MOON You weigh less on the moon. The moon is 4.6Million years old. A meteor hit the moon.
