EDATC Standardization update
The EDATC-DASC informative meeting was held at Yokohama
on 18Nov2011 in conjunction with EDSF2011-Nov.
 System Verilog WG is preparing the ballot for P1800.
 EDATC renewed 2012 IEEE-SA basic membership.

JEITA is invited to P1801 ballot group. We’ve just begun
discussion since PFWG stopped any activities after 1800-2009
ballot. I heard currently high-end SoC designs force designers to
use complicated UPF-CPF mixed design flow which have been
increasing, more than 50%.

LSI-PKG-Board Co-design WG developed LPB standard format
v1.0 in March 2011. The experimental interchange trial among
some member companies was reported and publically opened
v1.0 format at EDSF2011-Nov. They almost finalized v2.0 and
plan an open seminar for the interchange trial in March 2012.


IEC TC93(Design Automation) Status Update
The TC93 merger into TC91 was approved and decided. TC93
group will be able to form SC in TC91, having consensus of other
P-countries except US, China, Korea and Japan.

SMB Decision - TC 93 Design Automation, held on 2012-02-15
The SMB, after several attempts over the past year to regulate the membership of
TC 93 to have the required number of P-members in accordance with the Directives,
decided to disband TC 93 and requested the officers of TC 93 and TC 91 to define
a structure within TC91 to manage the work programme and publications of TC 93.
TC 91 is invited to report back to SMB before May 2012.

OLA-2009 and PSL-2010 were approved under the dual logo
- IEC 61523-1 Ed 2.0: IEEE standard for integrated circuit (IC) open library
architecture (OLA) (IEEE 1481-2009)
- IEC 62531 Ed 2.0: IEEE standard for property specification language (PSL)
(IEEE 1850-2010)
The Bird’s-eye View of Design Languages (BVDL) is circulated to
the national committees for review and comments for vote as a
Draft Technical Report by 2012-03-23

