Last Failures
Starting Point:
THU 18.FEB.10 Lubomir returns to Sophia, all HV modules repaired, 7 HV Primary PS spares available
Elog Incidents:

FRI 19.FEB.10 13:36:48
HV Module of HO1M12 replaced due to an Interlock problem.
•
MON 22.FEB.10 13:36:48
The power supply of the HV crate of HO0M failed and was replaced by an spare unit.
•
MON 26.FEB.10
01:40:42 We lost communication to all HV in HBM HV Communication module for HBMa replacement
07:50:09 We lost communication to all HV in HBM. Last night we lost the HV Controller of HBMA, now the Controller of
HBMB died. (Serial killer?) The bad unit was replaced.

The power supply of the HV crate of HEPc went into short, eventually tripping the breaker of the whole rack. Despite a strong
burning smell no DSS smoke alert was triggerred. Unit has been replaced.

Problem fixed. The power supply of the HEPc HV Crate died (looks like an epidemy...)and was replaced…

The Primary PS of the HV crate of HEPc died and was replaced. (Third casualty on the same crate in a month... we probably
have a serial killer there) …

The HV crate of HEPc (with all its modules) was replaced due to persistent Primary PS Failures. …

Current Status

HV Primary Power Supply Failures found in Mosfet
Power transistors used to generate Vpp.
•
4 Modules already repaired
•
Resettable Fused installed to protect the circuit.
•
Ultimate reason of the failures not identified yet.
