 1. God ( Allah)
 Allah is transcendent, aloof and unknowable
 He is no relational
 Allah is one, not three
 “He begets not, nor was he begotten – Quran Surah 112:3
 Allah’s will is free and arbitrary
 He is not bound by moral code and cannot be questioned

 According to Christianity, there is one God eternally
existing in three person ( Trinity)

 According to the Quran, the Trinity is viewed as Polytheistic
and heretical- Surah 4:171

of God, Mary and Jesus- Surah 5:116

 Muslims believe God would never become human
 They deny Jesus was neither God nor the Son of God
 Angels
 Angels are servants of God created from light

 Every Muslims is watched by two angels : One on each
shoulder
 The angel on the right records the good deeds and the angel
of the left records the bad deeds
 These deeds will be weighed out on judgment day

 They have free will to do good or evil and are held
accountable for their actions

 Islamic traditions claims around 12,000 prophets and say
that each was sent to a particular nation
 All of them including Adam and Jesus are considered to be
Muslims

 1. Adam: The chosen Prophet of Islam
 2. Noah: The Preacher of Allah
 3. Abraham: The friend of Allah
 4. Moses: The speaker of Allah

 6. Muhammad: The apostle of Allah

 Recognized holy books include the Tawrat ( Torah), Zabur (
Pslams), Injeel ( The Gospel) and Quran
 The Quran is believed to supersede all previous Holy Books
including the bible and is the final revelation of God
 The Quran is viewed as authoritative in both theology and
legislation
 The Quran is considered to by Muhammad's miracle
 The Quran was allegedly given by work to Muhammad by
the angel Gabriel between 610 and 632 AD

 The Day of Judgment
 The recording angels will submit records of each persons





These will be weighted against each other to determines
ones destiny
There is no assurance Allah will honor the ruling of the
scales
He may or may not chose to offer mercy
Every Human will either end up in hell ( a place of fire and
torment) or paradise ( a place of indulgence and sensual
pleasure)

 The most controversial of the six articles of faith
 Few Muslims deny its as an article altogether
 According to the Quran Allah ordains the length of a
persons life- Surah 3:14
 The Fortunes of individuals – Surah 9:51
 Whether they will go to heaven or hell- Surah 7:178-179
 Allah ordains the salvation of people and people are
responsible for their own actions – Surah 16:93
 For Muslims the predestination fate is an important part of
their worldview

 While there is some common ground about Jesus
between Islam and Christianity, Muslim deny that he was
the Son of God

He was the messiah

 “ They do blaspheme who say: God is Christ the son of
Mary” But said Christ: “ O Children of Israel ! Worship
Allah , my Lord and your Lord” Whoever join other gods
with Allah, Allah will forbid him the garden and the Fire
will be his abode” – Quran 5:72
 Muslims believe Jesus was not crucified
 They believe that it was the plan of Jesus' enemies to
crucify him, but God saved him and raised him up to
himself

 “ That they said ( in boast) We killed Christ Jesus the son of
Mary, the Apostle of God, but they killed him not, nor
crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them and
those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no certain
knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they
killed him not” – Quran Surah 4:157
 Muslims believe that Jesus did not die on the cross and
therefore was not resurrection form the dead
 Muslim believe that even if Jesus had died on the cross, that
would not pay for anyone's sin-Surah 53:38
 Muslims believe instead of being crucified, he was taken up
into the heavens and will return in the end times

 Jesus claimed to be the Son of God
 “ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and
only Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish
but have eternal life” John 3:16
 Jesus explained that his very purpose was to come and
“give his life as a ransom for man” – Mark 10:45, to
willingly lay down his life as a payment for our sins
 The death and resurrection of Jesus, the Son of God (
God in human flesh) is the very cornerstone of the
Christian message

 What is the Islamic View of Salvation?
 Salvation is earned not given freely
 At death, God will weigh your good and bad deeds
 This will determine whether you will be sent to




punishment or paradise
In the end, Allah has the final say on the fate of all

of Jesus are all denied by Islam
