and cultural features.
• Examples include mountains, rivers, people, cities and
countries
• Physical and human geography contribute to the study of

affects people.

Location is the exact
description of where
something is located.
Every place on Earth
has a specific
location.
We use maps to find
specific locations.
Different types of maps
show different things.
Examples of maps are:

• These features may be physical features such

• Resources are materials found in the Earth that
people need and value.

civilizations formed near rivers because of water
and food and later on transportation.

advanced civilizations.
