Deep Earth Teaching
Opportunities
A compilation of input from the
threaded discussion
First step towards organizing
working groups;
Identify kindred spirits
Look for opportunities to integrate
across disciplines

End of Day
Everyone will start to prepare an “ActivitySheet” that
will be the start of your new teaching activity.
We will introduce the SERC Content Management
System for you to upload your title and a brief
description of your activity
Teaching activities may take many forms;
in most cases you can simply upload activity files (Word,
PDF, JPEG, Excel…) needed to do the exercise.
In some cases, we can provide new web-authoring space
Activity is broadly defined
Laboratory exercise, problem set, “Hot Topic” with
literature, Visualization collection with annotation, class
demonstration or experiment….
