Introduction
 Sometimes nature tricks people. Just look at a pond. It
always looks peaceful. A bird may stand in the water
without moving, while a cute little turtle is sticking it’s
head out the water, and a water lily floating by.
Nothing much is going on, but a pond is still an
interesting place.

A lightning storm could catch the plants on fire and if

animals.

If there is a oil spill in the ocean and it starts to travel to
ponds and rivers a lot of animals and plants are
killed.

Tadpoles
Tadpoles need to adapt as they turn into frogs and
separate from their parents. They must learn how to
hunt for food, protect themselves, and find shelter.
