Microorganisms: Viruses and Bacteria
Instructions:
Choose one bacteria or one virus to research.
Use the Center for Disease Control web site for a resource:
http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/diseases/index.htm
Using Power Point or blank paper, create a children’s story that answers the
following questions:
1) What is the name of the microorganism and is it a virus or bacteria?
2) How is it transmitted?
3) What are the basic effects of acquiring the bacteria or virus (what does it
do to the body)?
4) What is known about treatments and cures?
5) How can it be prevented?
Make sure you also create a cover page that includes the title and your name.
Only print the text for your story after I have given the okay. You will illustrate
the story by hand.
