Jack
• Jack is a child who was going to go to summer
school, but when his teacher gives him a
chance to get out and go to a campground for
a science project, he decides to do it.
Ally
• Ally is a girl who`s parents own a campground,
but she learns she`ll be moving to the city
after she meets Bree`s family. So they make a
plan to make Ally stay and have Bree move
back home.
Bree
• Bree is a girl who lives in the city and is a girl
of fashion and also wants to be a model. But
she learns her family will move and own a
campground a week before the Eclipse and
own it for the next three years. She meets
Ally at the campground, and they decide to
make a plan to have Ally stay and make Bree
move back.
Melanie
• Melanie is the exact opposite of Bree. She
does cartwheels in public, does not want to be
a model, is smarter than Bree, and acts like
she`s five, but she`s 11. She is very excited to
own a campground, but Bree is not.
Kenny
• Kenny is the younger brother of Ally. He is very
into bugs. He hopes to find one that has never
been found so he can be in the history books.
When Ally hears from her mom about
moving, she makes sure not to tell him until
the family meeting.

Main Idea
• The main idea in this story is that Ally, Bree,
and Jack all have to watch the Eclipse. But
when Mr. Silver ( Jack`s science teacher), must
leave, Jack, Ally, Bree, Melanie, and Kenny all
must do the project together. But while they
do it a storm strikes, and the storm might ruin
the friends chances of seeing the Eclipse.
Solution
• The storm passes away before the Eclipse and
the group gets to see it happen.
