Cervical Cancer
Abnormal tissue found in the cervix
This is commonly caused by HPV a
sexually transmitted disease; which is the
most widespread STD among women.
When cervical cancer is found early it is
easier to treat and the survival rate is
much higher.
Cervical Cancer
There are three tests when someone is
suspected to have cervical cancer. A pap
test is done first, if it is abnormal a HPV
screening is done, if that tests positive a
coloscopy is done to remove abnormal
cells.
There was a significant decrease in
cervical cancer when the pap test was
initiated.
