Laparoscopische exploratie van het
abdomen kan reeds oppervlakkige
biopsies nemen. Met de Spirotome
Endo zijn nu ook diepe biopsies
mogelijk.
Myoma uteri
In vele centra wordt HIFU (high
intensity focused ultrasound) gebruikt
als behandeling. Maar ongeveer 1-2 %
van deze goedaardige gezwellen zijn
toch kwaadaardig (sarcomen). Om te
voorkomen dat sarcomen foutief
zouden behandeld worden (door
heelkunde) is een D&F biopsie nodig
voor HIFU.
Ovarium
Subcorticale ovariumbiopsies bij
jonge vrouwen levert eicellen of
follikels op die kunnen bewaard
worden voor latere fertilisatie. De
Spirotome Endo is hiervoor geschikt.
Uterus
Diepe myometriale biopsies zijn nu
mogelijk met de Spirotome Endo als
staging ofwel om pathologische
processen aan te tonen.

I have had the opportunity to use the Spirotome
in clinical cases and have been very impressed
with the level of control and safety, ease of use,

samples and was likewise impressed with the
