Using Video in Blackboard
Before we begin, here
are a few things to think about:
• Why are we adding video? Is it the most appropriate tool to use to
teach our students something?
• How long is it? How big is the file?
• Students will not sit through a long video, and it will be difficult for
Blackboard to handle it.
• Avoid large file sizes – they take forever to upload and download. HD is a no
no!
• Is the copyrighted material?
• If it is, get permission! You are making yourself liable for a lawsuit as AC puts
this burden on you!
