Stable Network services used today in LONG:
Statistics System (TID) is used to check network stability.
UPC public WEB page allow to see these statistics from the Internet.
Basic IPv6 tools (ping6, traceroute6, ethereal, telnet6, ftp) are currently
used in common LAB activities and experiments/trials preparation.
Some of them can even be used through the Internet WEB interface of LONG
public WEB server (http://long.ccaba.upc.es).
Basic Network services:
BGP4+ allow to modify network topology in an easier manner.
BGP4+ allow to have 0-configuration when activating PTIN BW guaranteed
link (routes autom.change to use this temporally link)
DNS avoid LAB users from typing things like: “3FFE:3328:6:3::148”

Stable User Services used today in LONG:
IRC service is very usefull when preparing events/trials/meetings.
The same chat rooms can be accessed from Internet, 6BONE and LONG
network.
ISABEL service has been used in project meetings and events
distributions.
