User Interface
Welcome to eValid!
On the surface, eValid is just
another Web browser. But, the
test engine, load, performance
or web mapping features are
available from pulldown menus.
eValid: User Interface: EVAL Copy
When you first start
eValid with an EVAL
license, you will be
presented with an
informational page
that describes how
to use the
pulldowns.
eValid: Selecting Your URL
First replace the
web address from
eValid with the URL
of the website you
want to test.
eValid: eValid Record Menu
To begin recording
using eValid, simply
select the
Record > Start
Recording
menu from the
eValid Browser
toolbar.
eValid: Record/Play Preferences Menu
The recording and
playback
operations can be
defined in the
Settings >
Record/Play
Preferences
menu.
eValid: Advanced Preferences Menu
Using an EVAL or PROF
license gives you access
to the Advanced
Preferences, which
enable many advanced
recording options.
Settings >
Record/Play
Advanced Preferences
> Miscellaneous
Recording.
eValid: Script Dialog Window
Clicking on the
Window > Script
Window
menu will show the
script file window on
the screen. This can be
used to inspect and/or
manually edit the
recorded script.

click Help >
Documentation
and select from the
many topics
available on the
menu.
eValid: Online User Manual
The Product User
Manual is kept
Live on the Web
to provide the
most up-to-date
material.
eValid: Pulldown Menus
We demonstrated how to
test Wired.com. Testing
with eValid could not be
easier. All the functionalities
are built into the browser.
They are accessible from
simple pulldown menus on
the eValid toolbars.
