• You can ensure you have library access by
registering with the library online
Access to E-Resources
• You have will have 2 usernames and passwords
while at the University of Sunderland

Selfcare, Sunspace, evision
Athens Account – for access to online library resources
• Shortly after enrolling on your programme you
will receive an ATHENS ACCOUNT
• It will be emailed to your University email within 3-4 days
• Look for an email from ‘Athens Administrator’

• Use Journal Search to locate journal articles

Search all course databases or subject specific databases
Basic or advanced searching
Save your results
• Use Journal Search to browse publications
• Log into Journal Search with your University User ID
and Password
• When you want to download or open an article you
may be prompted to enter your Athens Account

• Access e-books using the Library Catalogue
What is the Document Delivery Service
• We will try to obtain copies of articles for you
if they are not available within our electronic
subscriptions
• We will photocopy from our own stock and fax or post
it to you
• We will request documents from the British Library
through Inter-Library Loan
