Please open an account on TaskStream, a
‘teacher toolkit’ that will serve a variety of
purposes for the work we do in EDN 303
On the top of the home page. Please click on
the “Communication” tab. Then, please click
on “Discussion Board”.
Find our class titled “EDN 303 001 Fall 2009”
Click on “Introductions”
Click on “Create New Topic” AND
Post your first response to “Introduction”
Please don’t forget to “Reply” to your buddy’s post
Use the “Schedule” page to link to the “Student
Edition Lab” – click on the word “Labs”
The textbooks web site titles this page “Computer
Concepts Labs”
Link on “Input Devices” from the main menu of
labs. There are over 30 labs listed.
You may have to install software to run the labs if
working at home…this is OK!
Complete the “How to Use This Lab” under the
“Table of Contents” to the left of the page
◦ Remember: the small triangle to the left of the word opens
and closes the threads
When complete, click on the arrow to the left
of the word “Input Device”. This will open the
menu.
Click on “Parts of the Mouse” opening the
menu.
Begin the Lab by clicking on “Intro” and
reading/observing/practicing/ and reviewing
each frame
Link on “E-Mail” from the main menu of labs.
◦ Note – you should only have to complete the “How
to Use This Lab” once!
Find the .html file of the Scavenger Hunt
under the “Schedule” and “Handouts” pages
◦ All the EDN 303 web pages are saved in this format
You’ll find a .doc file of the Scavenger Hunt
only on the “Handouts” page
◦ Download this file to your flash drive…the word
document can be edited and your answers can be
typed under each question
Be sure to complete all 18 questions use a
variety of different resources
Due next Monday!
Please click on the “Book Resources” link on

Look under Chapter 1 and focus on the
“Exercises” on the left of the page
