What is it?
• A Knowledge Hunt is like a treasure or
scavenger hunt online. It sends students to
pre selected web sites to find the answers to
specific questions.
• Effective Knowledge Hunts have 5-15 links
(dependent on students’ age and internet
experience), a question for each link, and a
culminating question that requires synthesis.
Why should we use it?
• Highly interactive
• Allows searching with boundaries
• The students have to bring together
ideas from multiple web sites teach
them to focus on the main points of
each site.
