• Look at draft ‘direction of travel’
• Share feedback we have already had
• Propose action points for next year
• Further comments until 31 January
• February agencies draft plans for 2007-08

• First time for Hertfordshire
• Already interest from North Yorkshire and
Queensland Australia
• Hope to double the number of people taking
part
• Responses to carers’ strategy questionnaire
• Notice-board starting to be used
• Feedback at the plenary and in the final report

• 28% have dial up
• In addition, 47% have access via place of
work or study or other

• First real promotion of Carers Web Pages in
June 2004 (Carers Week)
• Visits rose from 2 (in the week ending
7 May 2004) to 26 (week ending 10 July)
• 251 visits during September 2006
• 288 visits during October
• Expecting many more in November!

• Caring costs
• Economic Security key part of strategy
• Hertsmere Listening to Carers – not all carers
keen
• But All professionals have a responsibility to be
a bridge to wealth of information on the web
• Access freely available in Libraries
• Telecare, keeping in touch – internet -key role
