Context
• Abstract from the DG EMPL web site:
– “The Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Equal
Opportunities has the task of contributing to the development of a
modern, innovative and sustainable European Social Model with more
and better jobs in an inclusive society based on equal opportunities.”
– “It plays a key role in promoting positive interaction between economic,
social and employment policies, bringing in the main players who can
help to achieve the EU strategic objective, to make Europe the world
most competitive and dynamic knowledge-based economy, capable of
sustainable economic growth, with more and better jobs and greater
social cohesion.”
Purpose of the project

Purpose of the project
• Create and assist in the presentation of all the
relevant information
• Facilitate the update and management of the
relevant content through the use of an interactive
Web Content Management tool
• Design the structure of the new web site
• Transfer content of the existing “Publications web
site” to the new site
• Application of a new presentation template for
specific documents ("Social Agenda“)
• Hosting of the web site on the EUROPA servers,
respecting EUROPA’s IPG guidelines
