Step 1: Go to www.latimes.com or another daily newspaper
on the web (e.g. www.usatoday.com ,
www.washingtonpost.com .)
Step 2: Search for the subject or article title
such as: Coming home to Africa.
Step 3: When the article you desire is located, highlight
the section(s) you want to copy by holding the left
mouse button, and selecting the text.
Next, either right-click and choose copy, OR
go to Edit and choose copy.
Step 4: Open Microsoft Word, Clarisworks,
or any word processor you use.
Step 5: Either right click and choose paste, OR
click Edit and choose paste
Step 6: To add photos/graphics, go to
www.google.com AND choose the
Images tab.
Step 7: Type in the name or subject to
search for an image

Step 8: Locate the appropriate
image, and left click on it.
Step 9: Right click on the image,
and choose copy.
Step 10: Go back to your word processor.
Left click where you want to place
the image, and paste it by either
right click / paste, or Edit / paste.
This entire procedure
can be used to insert
clip art, maps,
diagrams, or any
graphics on the web.
