The following are our student and teacher expectations/goals for this week.
Please refer to our Massachusetts State Technology Standards, our LHS
Scope and Sequence Document, and our Web 1 Curriculum guide for exact
details of what we will be covering over the length of this course. I will have
a new Weekly Agenda posted each Monday morning. This week we are
working on Family Power Point Presentations. Our goal is to “Discover” all the
different buttons on your screen. But first we need to logon to our
computers.
Procedure to log onto your computer and your account

8. Enter a new password
9. Confirm your new password. It is important to note that you should
use a password that you can remember because if you forget your

very upset!

Use the “Make a new folder” icon
Now “click” on the back button
Now “click” on the Web 1 folder
These are the Web 1 folders that contain all of contents for our course.
The most important folder is the Classroom Tools folder.
The most important folder within the Classroom Tools folder is the
Weekly Agenda Folder
The weekly agenda contains your step by step directions for what we will
accomplish that week. This week we will review Weekly Agenda One
1. Please open up Weekly Agenda One.
2. Review the document first and then perform the functions as it is
laid out in the document. If you do not understand an item, please
ask your neighbor for assistance. If your classmates do not know,
then please ask me. This is the “Ask three rule”.
3. Your homework for this week and every week is to read a chapter
from The Non-Designers Web Book by Robin Williams. This week
you will read chapter one. Please review the quiz at the end of the
chapter. I will be giving you a photocopy of the quiz minus the
answer key. I will provide a word wall for you to choose your
prospective answers.
Some students will receive photos of the chapter since we are out
of books.
If you do not have a book or copies...please see me…it is your
responsibility to make sure you have a book or copies.
4. Please open up Classroom Assignment # 1 under Classroom Tools
and proceed with the assignment. When you have completed the
assignment please go on to # 3.
5. Please remember the “ask three rule”. Ask your neighbors a
question before you ask me. There are more of you than there is
of me and by using the “ask three rule” I can try to assist all
students.
6. On Friday, we will conduct our Weekly Reflection project.
Each and every Friday we come into class and open up a Word
document. Save the document to the date of the day such as
9.11.09 and save it to your weekly reflection folder. Please refer
to my weekly reflection document under weekly agenda for more
details. Please use the Student weekly rubric under
Grading_Rubric_Final folder to enter your weekly grade. Failure
to enter a grade means you do not receive a grade for the week.
I hope you enjoy the course…remember you will get out of this
course what you put into it!
