Other Guidelines
- Plagiarism • Basic Definition: Using information from
someone else and making it your own.
• Important to do original work
• Important to cite [do a bibliography] for the
source of any information used in any school
work, whether an essay, a report, a web
page, a Power Point presentation, etc.

language used for the World Wide Web (WWW)
• Threaded Discussion – a discussion where each person
writes their opinion on a topic. These comments stay
online until deleted by the instructor.
• WWW – World Wide Web – also referred to as W3 or
“tri w”.
• BLOG – Short for “Web Log”, an online journal
process

• Don’t use your real name or put your actual location in
the personal information area.
• Any negative mention of school events or students
or teachers or other school personnel can lead to
problems.
• Like other technologies, consider anything you write on

and they find out, there could be legal problems.
