Linking
The Relevance of Linking
Linking involves linking your Web site with
another Web site. Ideally you want the link trade
to be reciprocal as opposed to a simple link out
by from your site.
Linking can be beneficial in terms of search
engine ranking and in terms of traffic to your
site.
Linking can give people something extra when
they visit your Web site.
Factors to Consider
Try to ensure that the Web sites you trade links
with have the same target audience, but not direct
competition.
Make it a fair trade; present their link in the same
way they present your link. How are you going to
manage the links? Consider using some form of
link manager software.
Ways of Obtaining Links
Make it clear on your Web site or e-mail
newsletter you are interested in exchanging links
with other Web sites.
Submit an article to a web site that would be
interested in publishing it on their site. Just have
them hyperlink your Web site address at the
bottom of your article.

An affiliate program is often an effective way to
get links on other Web sites. Advise your affiliate
site owner he or she could make extra income if
they link to your site and/or provide a replicated
web page.

that will get people's attentions.
